Assembled Brands
Assembled Brands is a financial services company that provides rapid financing, business insights, and an extensive network to grow consumer brands. Operating in tandem, these three pillars present a novel opportunity to provide alternatives to traditional venture financing. [1]
In 2017 Khaite, a luxury denim and knit brand founded in the Assembled Brands portfolio, was growing rapidly via boutiques and its own online website. Given the size of the factoring industry, I thought it would be easy to finance our Working Capital.
After an extensive search, the factors we spoke with all wanted personal guarantees because the direct-to-consumer inventory wasn’t something they normally lend against. Direct to Consumer inventory was outside the Credit Box of traditional lenders. This discovery led directly to the founding of Assembled Brands Capital. For more see How We Started Assembled Brands
