I was introduced to General Assembly by Jill McGuire-Ward in 2011. I spent the day with Jake in San Francisco in May of 2012 and kicked off the creation of their Integrated Financial Model. In the fall of the same year, I became their CFO Advisor and joined full-time in the summer of 2013. Once we had all the data integrated into one financial model, we were able to manage each campus according to a handful of weekly metrics. When the company grew toward $100m in revenue, we hired a CFO in NYC to replace me and I joined the Assembled Brands team full-time. General Assembly was purchased by staffing firm Adecco in 2018 for $412.5m.
